Job Description               :

MAINTENANCE would require the following:

  • Installation of server and software updates and security patches relating to SharePoint, including recommendations, scheduling, and testing of the environment.
  • Monitoring SharePoint environment performance, making recommendations and changes where necessary to optimize the system.
  • Making sure appropriate SharePoint system backups are being performed at regular recommended intervals.

SUPPORT would require the following:

  • Troubleshooting any problems with the system with the appropriate department and department’s staff and aiding in getting them resolved.
  • Answering questions about the system, training, and helping department and department’s staff understand the environment when necessary.
  • Scoping, analysis, and project management to determine projects that would be presented for development. (Development projects would be done on a separate contract.)
  • Tracking contractor time and reporting to department’s staff to help manage budget requirements and maximize resource availability.
  • Scoping, development, and design of additional features requested by department’s staff that were not included in the original scope of the specified application or system, but are not large enough to require additional project funding. These would mainly be related to keeping the system working for users until it can be decommissioned.

FIXES would require the following:

  • Adjustments required by department’s staff to make the system function per user requirements, including any design-related issues or requests.
  • Reviewing any bugs or errors in the system and making the changes necessary to make the system function per user requirements.
  • Determining any issues that arise during updates and changes to the system and making whatever adjustments necessary to keep the system functioning per user requirements.
  • Assisting department’s staff in making fixes to user-administered apps and sites.

DECOMMISSIONING would require the following:

  • Assisting in the transition of existing applications to a new platform, including providing development and support experience, documentation, and assisting in removing access and/or shutting off sites and applications as needed.
  • Assisting with any transition of existing applications to a newer version of a Microsoft platform if requested by department, or other Microsoft platform support that helps transition from the current SharePoint 2013 environment.
