Preparedness Program data Specialist

This position provides quality assurance and monitors program effectiveness for the hospital preparedness information exchange  program; communicates and coordinates educational development; provides education related to the hospital preparedness information exchange program as a subject matter expert; communicates and educates health care providers and staff, medical institutions, Nebraska Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Region 7 collaboration states, and other health professionals on implementation and maintenance of the hospital preparedness information exchange system.  Responds as necessary to support emergency activation through information exchange and documentation program. Monitors, updates, runs reports, and interprets results for the program; provides training; delivers presentations; provides technical expertise; provides quality control measurements and evaluation; may audit, investigate, compile statistics, analyze data, make recommendations, and complete reports related to hospital preparedness information exchange program.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: (These are needed to perform the work assigned.)

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, summarize and distribute significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.  Ability to interpret data results to an audience with non-analytical backgrounds. Must be a self-starter and self-motivated. Must be able to quickly learn and lead in a new environment. Ability to work well within a team environment and have exceptional collaborative skills. Must be service oriented with strong interpersonal skills to work with all levels of business and technical staff.
