Job Description:

Jira System Specialist

  • We are seeking a Jira (Service Management) system specialist to work with our IT Service Desk team in, updating, modifying and enhancing our current Jira environment. This work requires a detail-oriented focus and the ability to cross-reference multiple documents to ensure the information is accurate. This position will require interaction with multiple individuals through-out the OIT organization. Good requirements gathering communication will be one of the key success factors this effort.

Must Haves:

  • 4+ years of experience in the Jira systems administration or tools administration space
  • Experience with Jira administration including, user management, creating queues, parsing emails, etc.
  • Experience with dashboards within Jira
  • Deliver hands-on configuration, development and integration support
  • Provides technical tool guidance to Process Owners and Developers
  • Provide general support and maintenance for Jira
  • Excellent problem solving & troubleshooting skills


  • Experience with Google Forms and email parsing
  • Experience with Atlassian tools
  • Experience with exporting data from Jira to be used in Tableau
  • Experience troubleshooting environment/code/config issues, when necessary, provides support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products
  • Experience with Agile development processes and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
