Job Description:

The Office of Information Services (OIS) is a shared service provider for the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and Department of Human Services (DHS). OIS provides the technology systems and services that support more than 11,000 OHA and DHS agency staff at local offices and facilities around the state. These systems and services help the two agencies determine client service program eligibility; provide medical, housing, food and job assistance; provide addiction, mental health, vocational and rehabilitative services; protect children, seniors and people with physical and/or developmental disabilities; process claims and benefits; manage provider licensing and state hospital facilities; and promote and protect the state public health.        

OIS seeks a Tester II to support platform testing in connection with the Vaccine Registration Program.

The Oregon Public Health Division (PHD) and Oregon Health Authority (OHA) are planning to implement a Vaccine pre-screening, registration, and scheduling platform that Oregonians can use to determine what vaccination group they are in and then register for a clinic. The application is broken down into specific features that OHA plans to deploy in multiple phases.

This position will support testing and troubleshoot of programming within the platform, in preparation for utilization by the public.

Due to the project urgency LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED.

Responsibilities include developing and executing software tests and documenting results in order to ensure software runs smoothly and effectively. May involve troubleshooting issues and debugging software. May require a bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years or equivalent experience in a related area. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and technologies in the field.

Interviews will be conducted via MS Teams. Interview times will reflect Pacific Standard Time.

Key Person will onboard on site in Salem, Oregon.

The selected key person could potentially telecommute, as agreed to between the Agency Authorized Representative and the key person. Any decision to allow telecommuting is made with the understanding that decision will be re-evaluated by the Agency Authorized Representative on a weekly basis. Key Person to demonstrate remote connectivity to Agency systems prior to any telecommuting.

Telecommuting will be contingent upon the key person providing his/her own adequate computer, monitor(s), high-speed Internet connection, and telephone, and be readily available during normal working hours via phone, email and instant message (Agency Skype for Business or MS Teams). Access to Agency systems will be provided via Citrix Remote Desktop, VPN, or similar software. No hardware or additional software will be provided at the key person’s home site or his/her PC, unless a specific device is required to perform assigned duties (such as Multi-Factor Authentication devices).

Work schedule is typically Monday – Friday, 7 AM – 5 PM or 8 AM – 6 PM Pacific Standard Time.

Please note:
This position will not be the full 1040 hours, due to short timelines for the project.

Note: Due to the urgency of the Project and short timelines, the Key Person may be asked to work more than 40 hours per week. All compensation will be at a straight time pay rate negotiated at time of WOC execution. The estimated project duration is three months.
