Individual in this position has demonstrated experience in the standard concepts, practices, and deliverable related to Business Analysis in support of software development projects. Understands how to gather and document requirements. Has a working knowledge of the software development life cycle. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Some familiarity with the use of standard market Testing tools.
Selected candidate will be responsible for the creation of an RFP that will be used in the solicitation of a software vendor to replace an existing software application.
The current system is documented and will be used as a baseline for the new RFP.
Skills include but are not limited to:
- Proactively interact and collaboratively work with a variety of people, (e.g. Management, Business Partners, Software Developers, End-Users, Customers, etc…), to gather and then thoroughly document, Business Requirements.
- Strong experience in creating an RFP-(Request For Proposal) documentation and being involved with all pertinent stages from start to finish.
- self-motivated and able to deliver in a timely fashion and meet hard deadlines.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written), required.
Depending on the outcome of the RFP, the position might be extended to assist in the management of the project and work with the software partner.
