Responsibilities include: ‣ Performing successful root cause analysis for problem resolution on Ubuntu Linux, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) ,CentOS & VMWare ‣ Analyzing and assessing server performance, storage capacity and planning for future needs ‣ Successfully install server and associated hardware ‣ Successfully install/configure software applications and programs ‣ Build and support of Linux/UNIX/VMware environments Basic Qualifications: ‣ System administration skills with RHEL/CentOS 5.x & 6.x, Ubuntu 12.x&16.x ‣ L2/L3 level skill in VMWare/ESX ‣ In depth understanding of different RAID levels. ‣ In depth understanding & hands on with Linux kernel tuning / modifications. ‣ Volume management using LVM & VxVM. ‣ Host based storage management ‣ Scanning / deleting LUNs, allocating disk space, working with RAID arrays using ‣mdadm‣ & working with NAS filers. ‣ Working knowledge of NFS, automounter, CIFS, samba. ‣ Linux Package & patch management using ‣rpm‣, ‣yum‣. ‣ Working knowledge with compiling & installing packages from source code. ‣ Knowledge on host based network management ‣ working with static / dynamic routes, Ethernet bonding, VIPs, DNS, DHCP. ‣ In depth understanding & hands on with FreeBSD kernel tuning / modifications. ‣ Experienced in working with FreeBSD Jails, Ports collection & containers. ‣ FreeBSD package & patch management using ports collection & stand alone installations. ‣ Network based FreeBSD installations & OS upgrades. ‣ Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) processes ‣ Experience with software application installation ‣ Security+ Certification (or within 90 days) Desired Skills: ‣ Knowledge of scripting skills to automate tasks on servers ‣ Knowledge of configuration management with Ansible ‣ Knowledge of network support in a classified environment (encryption, etc.) ‣ Good understanding of micro services using orchestration tools such as kubernetes ‣ Has deep knowledge of Underlay, overlay architecture for storage, network and compute Create artifacts including detailed design documents Present solution ‣ Working knowledge with Windows AD ‣ Project planning including engagement with business stakeholders.
