We are looking for an experienced DevOps Support Engineer who will work independently to create and maintain the automated tools and processes to ensure our modern cloud-based platforms are reliable and accurate. The DevOps Support Engineer will be part of a small team of engineers and will work both with development teams and independently to implement performance and reliability monitoring.
Responsibilities for the role are:
- Identify and implement health and stability improvement opportunities in partnership with development teams.
- Resolve support and performance issues when identified. Afterwards, perform/lead five-point analysis to identify root cause and recommend options to minimize/avoid reoccurrence as well as automated detection of future issues.
- Maintenance of wiki to improve and extend existing procedures.
- Initially, manual monitoring of the platform may be required until additional automation is introduced.
Candidates should be able to work independently with strong communication skills (both written and verbal). In addition, candidates should be familiar with Agile and XP practices.
