The Department of Public Health is looking for an experienced business analyst to join a new delivery team working closely with multiple business teams on a high-visibility high-impact project.
Ideal candidate will be an organized, self-starter, who thrives on collaboration, is driven by user experience, and is driven by contributing to meaningful work. The Candidate will report to a Project Manager. The team formation is underway, so this candidate will join the team in the beginning stages of this multi-year project. Experience working within epidemiology and healthcare including laboratories and HL7 is highly desired.
Responsibilities will include:
Facilitate regular meetings with project team, sponsors, and stakeholders. Solicit stakeholder feedback to validate priorities.
Understands and anticipates user needs, translating these into requirements
Design wireframes for business partners and clients.
Provide metrics to the team and stakeholder to bring visibility on progress.
Participate in the QA process by developing and executing clear, specific, and testable acceptance criteria and plans.
Consistently meets deadlines
Strong communication skills, written and verbal, and interpersonal skills necessary for regular contact with customers and technical implementation teams.
Attention to detail, pride in work, experience supporting critical system(s)
Ability to work well in a fast paced high-impact environment.
Understand basic fundamentals of software development processes and procedures
Further job requirements:
Understand other processes and methodologies and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise
Understand the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team
When the State resumes onsite work, this role will be onsite Monday thru Friday during standard business hours with additional non-traditional hours when support of Public Health efforts is needed.
